Styling: Black & White Hats

Let's talk black and white hats. First time hat wearers almost always gravitate towards needing a black hat so it will go with everything. This is totally true, BUT black and white hats are SUCH statement pieces that sometimes I look at them and say, wow this is gonna be tough. Personally, I gravitate towards our taupe and tan colored hats because most of my wardrobe is in that earth-tone family. But i do have both Giddy Up in black and Happy Trails in creme and I wear them SO much more often than I thought I would. Black and white are sometimes just so stark, so much contrast, and so solid on top of the head. So I pulled some of my favorite and easiest ways to style both!

The Button-down Look: One of the easiest ways to make an outfit seem intentional and even on the more "put together" side is a crisp white button-down shirt. A classic look that does not need to feel stiff by throwing on a Happy Trails or Giddy Up to modernize the entire look. The T-shirt Look: Instantly jump from lounge to cool by pairing a medium-brim hat with a unique crown with a simple tee. Block No.13 does just that. The Denim Look: Denim on denim is back baby, and it's not just the "Canadian tuxedo meets cowboy" look anymore. Pairing denim together on top and bottom creates a super textured feel to your entire outfit. The hat  becomes the star of the show. The Streetwear Look: Break molds by throwing on a western crowned fedora with your usual leather jackets, graphic tees and sneakers for a look that will turn heads.
