DON'T GET DUPED!
REPORT A FAKE GOORIN

SINCE 1895

We are all passionate about our Goorin gear, and while everyone likes a “good deal,” sometimes these offers can be “too good to be true.”

When you spend your hard-earned money on an iconic Goorin product, you
want to make sure you are getting the meticulous design and expert craftsmanship, from a company that’s been around since 1895, that only a “Genuine Goorin” can deliver. Be aware and avoid the imitators and fakers out
there so you don’t get duped!

So how can you tell if you’re getting the “Real Deal?”

SHOP ONLY WITH AUTHORIZED RESELLERS.

With the internet only being a click away, it’s far too easy
for anyone to open up an online store and claim to be selling authentic Goorin.

Goorin never sells our products on any of the Asia-based discount marketplaces.

Play it safe.

Goorin never sells our products on the Asia-based discount marketplaces.

Be wary about "too good of a deal."

Good quality isn’t cheap, unfortunately! Rarely would an authorized reseller of a Genuine Goorin offer more than a 10% discount (with the occasional exception of a Holiday promotion).

Questionable resellers advertising “Goorin” products at 50% off are likely selling fake Goorin made with inferior materials.

We have purchased and inspected thousands of these products in our efforts to shut down disreputable sellers and protect the Goorin brand, and what you get when you purchase a “fake” Goorin, is a sorry excuse for the real thing.

Often the material is thin and flimsy, the fit isn’t right, the sewing and the seams are off, the panels are wrinkled or buckled, lose threads are everywhere, the patches are crooked, and the poor Farm animals look even worse. Not only are these embarrassing to wear, but the poor quality and lack of craftmanship mean that your hat is likely to start falling apart.

Of course, you won’t see any of this in the pictures these sneaky sellers post online because they steal pictures of real products to advertise with. You only discover the “bait and switch” once your purchase arrives, and the deceitful seller has made off with your money. Buyer beware!

AVOID FAKES

Check out a few ways to verify your trucker is an authentic Goorin.

CHECK YOUR PATCHES.

Closely inspect the patch itself and how it is attached to the hat.

Our hat masters spend countless hours poring over every aspect of these designs, so if you see an Animal Patch that looks “off,” it probably is a fake. Just look at some of these sorry excuses for a Panther:

Examine how the patch is attached to the hat. Goorin designs and manufactures our patches separate from the hat itself.

When it is added to the hat only an outline of the patch should be visible from the inside where the stitching adheres the patch.

The quick and cheap way to manufacture a hat is to directly embroider the design all the way through the hat material.

So, if you can see the patch image from the inside of the hat…that is not a Genuine Goorin!

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR...

Scammers often maliciously copy our photos or product images, and then add fake, heavily discounted pricing to get your attention or clicks.

If you see an ad that seems suspicious, don’t click on it. The safest way to shop with us is to go directly to Goorin.com or to visit one of our stores.

Be suspicious of spelling and grammar mistakes. Fakers are often in a rush and leave behind a trail of misspellings and grammatical errors.
