How I tried a hat that didn't exactly fit my style

The Details: Made in USA, All season / 100% linen, Lined crown, 2” medium Snap brim, 4” Center dent crown, German wicking sweatband, Grosgrain pinch bow hat band

The Dan Pines is one of our shortest brim summer weighted fedoras. It’s 100% linen so perfect no matter the weather and will keep you looking fresh and staying cool. Linen is an awesome alternative to straw. Often, folks consider straw fedoras to be a bit “too beachy” or “too casual” – totally feels that way sometimes: enter linen!

I honestly never looked twice at the Dan Pines hat (you caught me! Oops) But I love linen everything else, (sheets, trousers, blazers) so why not a linen hat? My other hesitation for myself personally is that I gravitate towards wide brim hats. I’m tall and I usually feel my best bad-assness in a stiff wide brim. It felt like the Dan Pines wasn’t getting a lot of female love and I wanted to see how I could style this hat.

Outfit 1: easy white muscle tank, some silk wide leg trousers, ankle boots and a linen blazer. // Outfit 2: cowboy boots, high-waisted vintage denim, crop top & duster // Outfit 3: floral maxi dress with some slides and a silk hair scarf

Y’all – I shocked myself with how much I was feelin’ this Dan Pines hat with all three of these outfits! I opted to keep it clean without any additional accessories (so out of my comfort zone! – but I loved the crispness of the crème color with all my bolder pieces. If I taught myself anything its to try on that style hat that you absolutely NEVER thought would work in your wardrobe and I promise you, you’ll love the result. Check it out:
