Since we interact with so many hat-lovers on our social media channels, Nicky (our social media and community manager), started asking frequent Goorin collectors about their collections, why they love hats, and to share what their hat walls at home look like!

Q: When did you begin your Goorin Bros adventure? / A: I first discovered Goorin Bros on a trip to Atlantic City in 2016. A specialty hat store Hat Emporium in The Quarter at Tropicana had some of The Farm trucker hats in their window. I noticed the clever sayings paired with each animal and knew I had to get it one. My first purchase was the Lone Wolf because I felt that fit and matched up with my mindset at that period of my life in 2016.
Q: When did you begin to realize you were starting a collection? / A: My collection grew slowly over the next few years because I didn’t have a hat store that sold Goorin Hats in my area. So basically it became a thing whenever I traveled to Atlantic City or Las Vegas I would purchase a new hat. Once I realized that the hats were available online around 2019 it became a problem and I started to purchase more and more.Q: Was there a mind-shift somewhere along the way where you knew you were about to embark on something bigger? / A: Once the Friday drops started I realized the exclusivity and creativity of these hats was making me like them more and more. I liked having something that others didn’t. But at the same time when I came across someone else who was also wearing a Goorin Farm hat it was like a bond between two people who didn’t even know each other.
Q: What are these hats fulfilling from within that has made you keep going and adding to your collection? / A: I feel I get a sense of confidence from the message my hat sends. These hats are also a statement or ! for any outfit. I love matching them with my other passion of collecting sneakers to create awesome fits.
Q: What are your top three favorite hats that you own? / A: My Top 3 are: 1. Black Sheep, 2. Karma, 3. Camo PantherQ: Any that you missed or think we should bring back or make for the first time? / A: I have some ideas on a collab I would like to do with Goorin. (Manatee and Penguin) which I know have been done but I think I could help put a new spin on them that would be really creative.
Q: You are a brand ambassador. How has that been going? / A: Being a brand ambassador for Goorin is awesome, I have been supporting this brand for 6 years now and to finally be a part of a team to help grow the brand means a lot to me. I’m a loyal person and I only want to be an ambassador for products that I truly use and really like.
Q: Why Goorin and why continue growing your collection? / A: There’s something for everyone with The Farm hats, whatever your style, formal or casual. Build your fit from your hat down!
