Because straw is meant for more than just the beach

Let's talk straw stigma: 1) Straws are always casual 2) You can only wear straw during June - August 3) Straw is really only for vacation to warm places 4) Straws are always floppy sun hats 5) Short-brimmed straw fedoras only work well on guys smoking cigars in Cuba. Trust me, we've heard it all. And while yes, you probably want to bring your straw hat with you on vacation, and yes that cigar vibe sounds delightful - don't put yourself (and your straw hats) in a limited box!

Things that are great about straw: 1) They can absolutely be dressed up 2) Depending on where you live, you can probably wear straw for 75% of the year 3) There are a wide variety of brim widths 4) They are generally more light-weight on your head 5) They do protect your skin from the sun, often most have a UPF rating

Most straws are neutral in color and provide interesting texture to your outfits, this makes them incredibly versatile and an easy-throw-on-out-the-door look.

Where to: Outfits 1 + 2: Out to dinner and running errands / 3 + 4: outdoor music venue and midweek zoom meeting / 5 + 6: happy hour drinks and night out
