Block Series: No.47

the sneaky silent winner of the blocks

Block Series: No.47

A shallow depth teardrop crown fedora. Block No.47 sits slightly lower on the head than the average teardrop crown and thus leaving it with a more subtle pinch a flatter top.

Block No.47 is one we almost forgot about. The original style that we came to know and love was called the Silent Sam. It was the perfect bad-ass hat: wider brim, black felted wool, and a more shallow crown. This block is sneaky good because of the crown height. One of the biggest hesitations folks have trying on hats in shop is that they think the crown is too tall. Truth be told, we do tend to have some height there but almost every hat you see out there does! Usually what people are actually commenting on is the fact that they aren't used to seeing themselves with such a height above their forehead - totally understandable! Trust us, you'll get used to the height and wear it proudly.

For those who want it keep it cool but casual, go with Block No.47. You'll feel like a badass without looking like you're uncomfortable in a tall crown. The newest addition to our core classic line is Gerald Fitzgerald, which made its debut last year sometime and is 10000% coming back in stock SOON. For now, check out some elevated straws we made this summer in some gorgeous stand-out colors. Stay Bold.
